Job Description

Qualifications

  • This role requires an individual with experience in hiring for technical, operational, and managerial roles in a manufacturing or industrial setting
  • The ideal candidate will have a keen understanding of labor market trends, workforce planning, and compliance with recruitment laws and best practices
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in talent acquisition or recruitment, with a strong focus on the manufacturing industry
  • Experience in hiring skilled trades and technical roles (e.g., engineers, technicians)
  • Proven ability to source, screen, and hire candidates for various manufacturing roles
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices and employment laws
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruitment platforms
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume hiring environment
  • Familiarity with recruitment software and tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, and other job boards

Responsibilities

  • The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing effective recruitment strategies to attract, assess, and hire top talent for various positions within the manufacturing plant
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from job posting to onboarding
  • Collaborate with department heads to understand hiring needs and develop job descriptions
  • Source candidates through multiple channels (online job boards, employee referrals, recruitment agencies, social media, etc
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of skilled candidates for future staffing needs
  • Participate in job fairs and career events, particularly those focused on manufacturing skills
  • Assist in workforce planning and forecasting, collaborating with department managers to anticipate future hiring needs
  • Use market data and analytics to make informed hiring decisions and recommend improvements to the recruitment process
