Job Title: Senior Accountant – Construction
Salary: $100K-$110K

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Perform job cost accounting and maintain accuracy of job cost ledgers
• Monitor and track project budgets, cost-to-complete, and work-in-progress (WIP) reports
• Support monthly and year-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate financial reporting and forecasting
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and industry-specific regulations
• Assist with audits, tax reporting, and external financial reviews
• Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures
• Analyze variances and provide insight into project financial performance

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred but not required)
• 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of construction accounting principles, job costing, and WIP accounting
• Experience with accounting systems such as Viewpoint, Sage 300 CRE (Timberline), Procore, or similar construction software
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments
