Job Title: Accounting Specialist Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team. This role involves handling travel reimbursements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable tasks. You will be responsible for preparing expense reports and invoices for payment, verifying receipts, creating supplier/producer records, and processing travel-related reimbursements. Additionally, you will work with the General Ledger account coding structure, manage invoice payment batches using Oracle, initiate check disbursement, and organize check documentation for signatures. Responsibilities + Prepare and enter invoice payment batches into Oracle. + Initiate check disbursement for all invoice payments and distribute completed checks to the appropriate recipients. + Research and resolve discrepancies, including proper general ledger accounting. + Prepare and enter all accounts payable related journal entries, including monthly and year-end accruals for committed expenses. + Interact with various departments, locals, and board members for all inquiries. + Enter and maintain customer information and prepare and enter information for customer invoices. + Print and distribute customer invoices and code incoming payments to proper GL accounts. + Post member payments and back up cashiers as needed. + Maintain all online supplier information and coordinate documentation to ensure compliance with all 1099 regulations. Essential Skills + Prior experience with bookkeeping fundamentals. + 1-year of full cycle Accounts Payable required. + 2-4 years of experience in accounting roles. + Effective verbal and written communication skills. + Ability to organize and coordinate multiple tasks under daily deadlines. + Excellent attention to detail. + Capability to take direction from more than one supervisor. Work Environment The work environment is ONSITE in Beverly Hills, CA. Where you will work in cubicles alongside three other accounting representatives. The standard office hours are from 9am to 5pm daily, with potential future opportunities to shift to a hybrid schedule.
